A combination of law enforcement, geography and ocean currents has washed tonnes of cocaine into the Mosquito Coast, one of the Caribbean's most desolate and isolated regions, at the boarder between Nicaragua and Honduras. Colombian speedboats hug the coastline so closely that this narco-route to the US is known as the "country road". When they are intercepted trafficants throw the coke overboard to get rid of the evidence. The drogue finish on mosquito beaches. Many inhabitants consider it a blessing from God and renamed it the "white lobster".
