WILLIAM BRINNIER: CPCC TEACHER CHARGED IN DWI ACCIDENT DROVE THE WRONG WAY, REPORT SAYS. CPCC psychology teacher William Brinnier, 57, was charged with DWI, hit and run, and reckless driving after his PT Cruiser allegedly struck another car while driving the wrong way on Interstate 485 in Mecklenburg County. Brinnier then turned the car around and fled heading in the proper direction but was caught about six miles from the scene of the accident.William Brinnier
