Flooding in Houston leaves drivers stranded after heavy rain swept through the area on Saturday (April 27).
In just a few hours, thunderstorms dumped up to seven inches (18 centimetres) of rain across parts of Harris County, Texas.
The rising water levels caused hazardous conditions for drivers.
A number of people spent hours stuck in their cars on highways inundated with floodwater.
At least 50 calls for water rescue were dealt with by the city's fire department.
