Woman Dies After Choking on Boiled Egg During Eating Contest

A woman dies after choking on a boiled egg during an eating contest.
Recently, a 54-year-old woman, Sharon Dixon passed away after choking on a boiled egg during an eating contest at a pub in UK.
Friends and bar staff called the local emergency number after Dixon began to turn blue. Instructions were given over the phone to administer CPR while the ambulance was en route to the pub. Four minutes after the call, emergency workers took over.
Despite the frantic efforts, Dixon tragically passed away two days after the event in the hospital. Her daughter, Toni states “I have seen CCTV footage of what happened and it's clear her friends and everyone there did all they could to help mum. She was surrounded by her friends."
Last year, a 20-year-old man, from Tunisia passed away after consuming 28 raw eggs. The male had made a bet with his friends that he could eat 30 raw eggs.
He experienced stomach pains shortly after eating the vast amount of eggs. The man was rushed to the hospital but sadly, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
