The 40-38 Boston Celtics will travel to play the 62-16 Miami Heat in an NBA pro basketball game on Friday night. Tip off time from Miami is scheduled for 7:30PM Eastern Time with national television coverage provided by NBA TV.

The odds from this pro basketball game will be out on Friday afternoon as Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chis Bosh are questionable with injuries. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are out for Boston.

This will be the fourth meeting of the year between these two clubs with Miami winning two of the three games. The Celtics covered the spread in two of the three contests.

Boston has a road record of 13-25 on the season. They come off the 101-93 home defeat on Wednesday to the Brooklyn Nets as a -3 point betting favorite. The game finished over the total of 191 points. The Celtics shot 45.7% from the floor and made 6 of 16 three pointers. They gave up 45.9% shooting to the Nets as well as 8 of 19 from three point distance. Difference in the game was at the free throw line where Brooklyn attempted 11 more shots and went 25 of 28. Paul Pierced led the Celtics with23 points and three assists as he made 7 of his 11 shots. Boston holds the seventh seed in the Eastern conference by three games over the eighth seeded Milwaukee Bucks with just four games remaining. Boston is a top ten defense in all three key areas but their issue has been in rebounds. The team ranks 29th and second to last in rebounding as they lack adequate size down low to support Kevin Garnett.

The Heat is 34-4 playing at home. Miami wins their fourth straight after a 103-98 road victory on Wednesday to the Washington Wizards as a +3 ½ point underdog. The total landed over 188 points. The team rallied in the fourth quarter by outscoring Washington 34-26 in victory. Miami shot 44% from the field and hit on 17 of 41 from three point distance. They allowed the Wizards to make 45% of their shots and 11 of 23 three pointers. The Heat survived 25 turnovers by pulling down 13 more rebounds and did a better job at the free throw line than Washington. Ray Allen came off the bench for 23 points and six rebounds as he made 8 of 18 shots for Miami in the win. The victory means that Miami has clinched best record in the NBA and will have home court advantage in every playoff series. Miami puts up some strong offensive numbers on their home court as they average 106.4 points a game along with 50.6% shooting from the floor.
