St. Louis camping at it best- State Parks or Private campgrounds

Hey its Mason the camping enthusiast here again with another helpful tip when camping in St. Louis, Missouri. Over the years we have been camping in many private parks, as well as state parks. State parks are great if you are looking to get back to the basics and do not care about full service sites.
State parks run by the government will sometimes have sewer, water and electricity at the campsites, but in my experience, most of them are water and electric only, and in many cases, the water is up to a couple hundred feet away. For the price that state parks are now charging, I expect more then that. I would rather pay a few dollars more for the ability to have all the utilities and some activities for the kids.
Next time you are getting ready to go camping in St. Louis Missouri, be sure to check out both the state parks, and the private campgrounds to see which one will suit your families needs.
