Former Governor of Louisiana Buddy Roemer, took part in a Big Issues Forum. The big issues discussed were education, and the affect of secret money in American elections. Governor Roemer is pushing for full and timely disclosure of campaign contributions. Roemer believes, it's important for voters to know which corporations and special interest groups are buying their politicians, thereby, allowing voters to make an informed choice when they go to the polls. Campaign finance is a popular issue amongst informed voters, giving Governor Roemer the support of millions of Americans who are tired of politicians who work on behalf of big money contributors, instead of the people who elected them. Roemer stated, he was willing to work with Democrats, Republicans, and Independents to reform campaign finance, and was fully confident that President Obama would support legislation for full and timely disclosure.
