Fostering the states commitments for the development of renewable energies : a European perspective

Wolfgang Palz, President of the World Renewable Energy Council, speaks about the Energy and Climate Directive which has legally binding objectives regarding the implementation of renewable energies for the 27 members of the European Union. Some countries tend to forget those objectives of a 25% of the total energy production based exclusively on renewable energies ; the big debate now is to clarify clear objectives, and to implement them at a political scale for 2030, especially in France that needs to seriously tackle the issue of energy transition.
