Rajinikanth goes on a hunger strike

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth goes on a hunger strike. The actor joined a cross section of film stalwarts from the Tamil film and television industry, demanding that artists, directors and choreographers be exempted from paying service tax. All film shoots were cancelled while theatres across the state remained shut all day.
