STORY:

Both Sir Anthony Hopkins and Dame Helen Mirren were in London's Leicester Square on Sunday night (December 9) for the UK premiere of 'Hitchcock', a love story about one of the most influential filmmakers of the last century, Alfred Hitchcock, and his wife and partner Alma Reville.

The film recounts the days when Alfred Hitchcock (Anthony Hopkins) tried to make his classic movie "Psycho" without the help of studio funding, but with the backing of his loving wife Alma (Dame Helen Mirren).

The 74-year-old Oscar Award-winner is almost unrecognisable as Hitchcock having to wear prosthetics and a fat suit for the role.

"I never saw him on the set as Tony," Mirren told Reuters TV. "Very occasionally at the end of the day he would be so in need of getting himself out of that make up that he'd start ripping it off his face and that always really really alarmed me because underneath there was always Tony Hopkins and I was always thinking 'Who the hell are you? What are you doing here? I don't know you. Are you in this movie?'"

Hitchcock, which is directed by Sacha Gervasi, will go on general release around the UK on February 8, 2013.
