A truly insiring story of Dr. Surya Bali from Bairili village in Jaunpur U.P who lost his ailing younger brother upon being treated by a quack.He determined to become a doctor then and sold fruits and vegetables, repaired bicycle punctures, walked barefoot to school to chase his dream of becoming a doctor. From surviving on the mother’s meager income of working as a domestic help to walking 11 kilometers barefoot to his school to graduating from Allahabad Medical College to earning a fellowship programme in University of Florida… Surya surpassed all odds that came his way. As a specialist in community medicine, he has gone back to them for a payback and today works with the mission of AAA i.e. accessibility, affordability and availability of health services for the poor.
