Asus Zenbook U500 review: powerful 15 inch premium ultrabook

ASUS Zenbook U500 is one of the 15 inch ultrabooks we've got our hands on. It's premium, just like the Zenbook UX31A ultrabooks, it's made from sturdy aluminium and packs a lot of powerful guts into a 20mm chassis which weights only 2 kilograms.
Specs include a quad core Intel Core i7 3612QM processor, dedicated Nvidia GT 650M graphics, 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD made by coupling two 128 GB SSD in RAID 0. The 74 wHr battery lasts only 3.5 hours unfortunately, but this was a pre production sample, so I expect the final version, powered by Windows 8, to solve all these problems. Currently this is the best premium 15 inch ultrabook laptop to get if you don't want to make a compromise.
