Creating The Tolltaker

A two-minute feature on the rotoscoping animation process used to create scenes for "The Tolltaker," a short film that combines live action and animation to tell the story of a young boy in post-Vietnam America coming to terms with the loss of his father in the war. You can check out the film itself on Vimeo at: vimeo.com/44517381. It also gives props to the animation program at the Philadelphia Art Institute, where the bulk of the film's animators were students at the time it was being made.
