Creating The Tolltaker

A two-minute feature on the rotoscoping animation process used to create scenes for "The Tolltaker," a short film that combines live action and animation to tell the story of a young boy in post-Vietnam America coming to terms with the loss of his father in the war. It also gives props to the animation program at the Philadelphia Art Institute, where the bulk of the film's animators were students at the time it was being made.
