Barack Obama, the US president, is due to give a major speech in Egypt in his first visit to the Middle East since taking office.

Eight years after George Bush, his predecessor, declared 'you're either with us or you're with the terrorists,' Arabs across the region are wondering how Obama will reach out to the Muslim world.
