Ráv Thomas is one of Australia's most exciting emerging singer songwriters.
His experience of performing thousands of shows live -- everywhere to everyone - has culminated in the creation of his unique and brilliant melodies and lyrics, his songs and storytelling.
He released his debut EP Lily in August 2009 to a sold out show in Melbourne and debuted at 2 on the ARIA physical singles chart and 2 on the Australian Independent Singles chart. Lily remained in the ARIA charts for 2 months, and Ráv went on to out a number of headline shows both in and out of Victoria.
Then, in November this year, Ráv released a single -- Like a Game Show Host, and went immediately to number 1 on the ARIA physical singles chart.
In the last two years Ráv has performed constantly and supported and toured with the likes of Evermore, Vanessa Amorosi, Thirsty Merc, Shannon Noll, Jimmy Barnes, Toni Childs, Kate Cebrano, Jon Stevens, Diesel, Michael Franti and Chris Isaak.
Ráv would have to be one of the hardest working musicians going around -- he played well over 450 shows in 2009/10. Ráv (pronounced "Rarv") has gone out to the people!
Ráv Thomas is the definition of a singer-songwriter -- with a distinct sound and style of writing, yet a product that is easy to grab hold of, and a live show that takes this to a new level again. He has an undeniable presence, with a genuine and authentic persona. With an amazing and unique band behind him, the live show sets the bar for acts of this kind. The Ráv Thomas experience is inspiring yet unassuming.
