Ductal® UHPC field-cast connections for precast bridge systems.
Ductal® Joint Fill is an ultra-high performance concrete field-cast solution for precast bridge systems. It provides superior strength, durability, toughness and increased bond capacity. Its fiber matrix is significantly stronger than conventional concrete and performs better in terms of fatigue, abrasion and chemical resistance, freeze-thaw, carbonation and chloride ion penetration. After 10 million truck wheel load test cycles, there is no leaking through the joint. When used with precast deck panels, precast box girders or bulb-tee girder joints, fabrication and installation processes are simplified, full deck continuity is achieved and the bridge deck joint is no longer the weakest link!
