PRESENTED BY DANIELLE TOPOROFF
BROUGHT TO YOU IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE SKYELAB MUSIC GROUP http://www.skyelabmusicgroup.com
Cinematographer: Chris O'Konski
Missy Modell refuses to be put into a music box. With fiery red hair, genre blending sounds, and the grace of a ballerina overtaken by dance music, Missy is showing the world that she is certainly not a one-dimensional pop artist. Raised in New York City, the lights have inspired her (sup Alicia), and she is ready to show the world just how bright they are. Influenced by the melting pot she has grown up in, Missy writes music about relationships and self-worth: she says, "I don't take myself too seriously and I want my music to make others feel the same. Be silly. Dance even though people are telling you they're embarrassed. Be proud to be the leader and be yourself. It's taken me a while to find that voice and I want to be able to share it with everyone else."
Citing artists ranging from Britney Spears to Sara Bareilles to One Republic as her influences, Missy's bubbliness and charisma shine through in her lyrics and ultimately, she just wants to make people smile. A recent graduate of Skidmore College, she has already immersed herself into NY/LA music scene. Performing frequently, she also spends much of her time writing and experimenting in the studio. She plans to release her first EP in early April. This star on the rise is currently working with A-lister producers Dru Castro and Dre Harris among others and will be featured on Laurieann Gibson's new E! show "The Dance Scene" airing April 10th.
This summer, Missy will be coming to a city near you on The Morning After Tour: Presented by Silverlake to Soho. Click the links below to find out more information about dates, locations, and everything else tour related.
