PRESENTED BY LAYLA ANNA-LEE

Jonny Taylor is one of those rare artists, not only a gifted songwriter and vocalist but also an old fashioned entertainer and showman. Think Ian Dury and Tom Waits mixed in with a bit of Mike Skinner and Lily Allen with a dash of Madness. He writes wonderfully catchy songs with thoughtfully crafted lyrics that draw inspiration from every day life.
Jonny, brought up in North London, graduated from the University of Leeds in 2006 where he studied music and performance. Under the guidance of a loving city he began to play out regularly on the Leeds music scene gracing venues such as The Wardrobe, Hi-Fi Club, The Favisham, The Mixing Tin, Leeds University Union and The Royal Park Cellars on numerous occasions.

After Finishing his degree Jonny returned to London to Record his first E.P Twenty Four Seven. In late 2006 he began to search for a band that would help him bring his sound to the bright lights of London. 2007 saw Jonny record his first Album Red Handed and Other Such Tales.

Since becoming a regular on the London music scene Jonny has entertained in some of the best venues around town. With past performances at venues such as The Troubador, 93 Feet East, 333 Mother bar, ULU, Dingwalls, Proud Gallery, Dublin Castle and The Bedford Bandstand to name but a few, and with live performances at various festivals over the summer, it is clear to see he is a man on the move.

Backed by the likes of Tom Robinson and BBC 6 Music and with live performances on T4's Orange Unsigned Act and a new live show to blow your socks off it would be ill advised to anything other than watch this space.
