PRESENTED BY BEN KRITIKOS
In Bens words - I don't know what the hell is going on. this is fun. i play with a bunch of talented and loving people called the happy gang, both as "the happy gang" (who never use that name officially) and otherwise. some of the names i collaborate with: the readers' wives (niall james holohan), aidan, jenny lindfors, tea (aidan, saidhbhín and ben), celebrity rape quiz, james guilmartin, etc. for the first two years i lived in ireland, my primary source of income was busking. i'm proud of this fact, as busking is a very old tradition with a history all its own. i learned most of what i know about music and how people react to it from my experiences on the street. i also learned about the invisible sector of society who live on the street, which i value more than any education that was thrust upon me from those who make the rules, drop bombs, buy and sell the world around them, clearcut and stripmine humanity.... when i think about all the wonderful things i've experienced in my silly and vain attempts to find love, i can't help but smile. when i hear my friends singing songs, i can't help but sing along. when i think about the billions of people suffering the world over from deprivation, disease, ennui, and the countless ailments humanity suffers from, my body reacts with a multi-faceted emotion i have no name for...a feeling which reaffirms my conviction that i need to be making music because it's in my nature.
