Roxy the 'Wild One' Raccoon

This little lady has become a regular around our house. We only feed her on occasion - she loves nuts and bread and is very friendly. I had quite a smile when she climbed into the birdbath, where she spent over two minutes drinking and paddling around.

My old friend Rocky "the squirrel" was not impressed, as those peanuts were originally meant for him and his new friend. He was very agitated but no worries, he did manage to score a few. Roxy has been back a number of times and she actually comes right up to my back screen door and peers in around our dinner time. Such a beautiful girl and I know she has a litter, somewhere. No doubt she will be bringing her young ones around for a visit, and if memory serves me, they can be pretty rambunctious.
