Behold the Walking Wounded is a 45 minute documentary following Nader, a rejected Afghan asylum seeker as he survives in Paris without papers. Through his daily struggle we meet other young Afghan men: some newly arrived, some awaiting a decision on their case, and others who have also been rejected and are facing deportation. In contrast to the one dimensional images to be found in mainstream media, here we get to know the personalities behind the headlines, and to understand the humour and strength of character that makes life in Europe possible.
