Guitar Lesson Description:

Pentatonic Guitar Scales, Your guide to learning the second position A Minor Pentatonic

The A Minor Pentatonic Scale Position 2 With Riffs!

The pentatonic guitar scale is one of the most used guitar scales today and for good reason. You have learnt the A minor pentatonic scale, what we call position 1 and this should have allowed you to create your own melodies using these notes in anything in the key of A minor. After a short time this will feel a little limiting, you only have a small range of notes and you may be doing some research and discovering all sorts of confusing sounding scale names like the Major scale, Natural Minor scale etc. Don't let these both you just yet, we will cover them after you complete the beginner guitar course for now I'd like you to focus on building a strong foundation in the Pentatonic Guitar scale. We are going to learn position 2 of the scale in this lesson, It's important to use the correct finger positioning on this one. Make sure that when you are learning this scale you follow my tips for playing the scale correctly. In the future when you learn riffs and licks in this position you may need to break away from the fingering I show you hear but it's important to get a solid foundation,
