Amateur video out of Syria shows video from a man walking down the streets in Homs.
The video, purportedly shot Friday, could not be independently verified by Reuters.
France has now joined the United States and Britain in raising an alarm that President Bashar al-Assad's forces may be about to storm the rebel stronghold city.
The government denies that any crackdown in taking place.
Gunfire is heard in the background.
Garbage is piled up on the streets.
In Hama demonstrators gather in defiance. They continue to call for the end of the regime.
More footage from other parts of the country appears to show demonstrators marching through the streets. They say they are marking international human rights day. Activists say at least 12 people across the country on Saturday.
Video of a funeral march shows people crowding the streets.
The UN says more than 4,000 people have been killed in Syria since the uprising began in March.
President Assad says some "mistakes" may have been made but denies giving any shoot-to-kill order over the past nine months.
Syria has banned most independent media from the country making it difficult to verify accounts from activists or the government.
