92 Ways to Brighten Patients’ Lives: Employees Shine During Sanofi Volunteer Week

When it comes to Sanofi’s first North America organization-wide volunteer initiative, employees have been all over the map this October – and making a difference in the best sense. For example, in Tucson, Sanofi R&D employees made “blood soup,” a tool used by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to educate patients about the composition of blood and leukemic cells. In Gainesville, Ga., a Merial team walked large dogs at the Hall County Humane Society and spread mulch in three dog runs. North of the border, a Genzyme Toronto, Canada, team assembled “fun” kits for children with hemophilia or other inherited bleeding disorders, and back in Cambridge, Mass., Genzyme, Global Oncology, Sanofi Pasteur and Sanofi R&D employees painted murals to brighten hospital walls.
