How do you kick-off a successful job interview? Here are some smart ways to make a great first impression! So really this is about confidence. 1) Walk in the room as if you deserve to be there. 2) Shake hands with people with strength. And 3) Make sure that you keep consistent eye contact with everybody that you meet. 4) It's also about nailing that first question, providing lots of detail and establishing clear themes as to why you are the person that should get hired today. As a former hiring manager, I can tell you that the first 5 minutes of a job interview are critical. So make sure that in those first 5 minutes you deliver your best each and every time.
