Brilliant Minds: Chemist Daniel Varon Silva | Tomorrow Today

Back when he was in primary school Daniel Varon Silva was already trying to make shampoos and hand creams. Chemistry was his favorite subject. Today, the 35-year-old from Colombia works at the Max Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces.His goal is to create tailor-made molecules that work in the body in the most targeted and focused way possible. He is hoping they can then be used to treat illnesses such as multiple sclerosis, malaria and tuberculosis.
