Take a tour of Place de la Concorde in Paris, France – part of the World’s Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats.
Perhaps the most famous public space in all of France is the Place de la Concorde.
The two fountains here are the Maritime Fountain and the Fountain of the Rivers.
Each fountain represents the resources gained from France’s waters: the seas and rivers.
The Obelisk is the Place’s most striking piece and comes from Luxor, Egypt.
The Place de la Concorde features beautiful and ornate sculptures and statues.
Hard to imagine this was the site of executions during the French Revolution.
Its central location in Paris makes it an accessible and attractive destination.
