Seville’s Plaza de Espana is located in the famous Maria Luisa Park. The popular landmark was built in 1928 as a host site for the World’s Fair. The plaza features a blend of Art Deco and Spanish Neo-Mudejar designs. Footbridges lead over a moat to the exhibition halls. The Plaza is rich with exquisite detail and color. On the outer walls, mosaic scenes depict the Spanish provinces. Many of the buildings have been adapted for government use. Museums are housed in the largest and most magnificent of the Plaza’s halls.
