I'm the director of critical care and emergency general surgery at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. I've been here about three and a half years. I think Sibley's a terrific place to work. It's big enough that we're able to have the resources to accomplish whatever we want. But it's also small enough where on my way walking from the garage to the office, I know everyone by their first name. I think that's what makes Sibley very unique and very special. As long as you're able to show that you're able to do your job well, it's a very welcoming place. We have surgeons and intensivists that have been here for decades. You know initially, I did have to prove myself with all of them, but now we have terrific relationships. We help each other out. There's things that I learn from them, there's things that I'm able to teach them. We can, Jane, probably DC all the isolation precautions that he's on. We really try to emphasize a culture at Sibley that facilitates every member of the hospital staff and medical staff interacting with respect. I enjoy coming to work every single morning. I love what I do. I love my job. ...
