Sibley is a great place to work because everybody works together, we're a team. There's a lot of collaborations between the doctors and the nurses and the support staff. I feel that the doctors at Sibley respect the nurses, and the nurses respect each other. I've been working at Sibley for about five years now. I came here as a new graduate. I feel that they really supported my growing as a nurse, and they really support your educational goals here at Sibley. I started in the OR Fellowship Program, which combine on-the-job training in the OR, and classroom teaching. They make sure you're very comfortable. Well, as a new nurse, you could qualify for the nursing scholarship or stipend at Sibley, which is really great to help you back your student loans. It worked for me, I put it in the savings account and I was able to buy my first home with it. Sibley has a great location. It's right off of MacArthur Boulevard in a small community. There's free parking. You don't have to walk a mile to get to the hospital. You don't have to jump on the Metro, but if you do need public transportation, the bus stop is right outside Sibley. I love nursing because I get to help people every day. I work with a great bunch of people, and we all share the same goal. We're all patient care focused.
