The channel was launched on the 28 March 2008 by the INX Network.NewsX is India's first HDTV enabled channel. The presentation is minimalistic in its on-screen graphics and activity. The present colour scheme includes simple black backgrounds with yellow and white text.On 9 January 2009, it was announced that NewsX had been purchased by Indi-Media Network, a partnership between the NaiDunia CEO Vinay Chhajlani and former Businessworld editorJehangir Pochaa.In September 2010, NewsX announced its intention to re-brand as IMN News.
