Boy trapped in washing machine

A boy had a lucky escape after he was released from the drum of a washing machine in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, in northern China.

Chaofan became stuck in the washing machine while he was playing hide-and-seek with his mother.

The three-year-old said her son hid himself in the machine only to find his legs were tightly caught in the washing drum.

He was trapped for over an hour until firefighters managed to free and it took over an hour to get him out.

The rescue team had to dismantle the washing machine then delicately remove the boy from the drum using a circular saw.
