Two boys, believed to be the youngest knife murderers in the UK, have received eight-year minimum terms for murdering Shawn Seesahai in a Wolverhampton park last year. 00:00I have taken into account everything I know about the First Defendant and what he did,
00:07and in my judgement the minimum time he should spend in custody is 8 years 6 months.
00:14From that must be deducted the 315 days that he's already spent in custody.
00:22The First Defendant will remain on licence for the rest of his life.
00:27I have taken into account everything I know about the Second Defendant and what he did,
00:33and in my judgement the minimum time he should spend in custody is 8 years 6 months.
00:39From that must be deducted the 315 days that he's already spent in custody.
00:47I appreciate that this is the very same as for the First Defendant,
00:51but having applied the guideline, the factors that have led me there are different.
00:57The Second Defendant will also remain on licence for the rest of his life.
