In a conversation not recorded on live feed, John James tells Josie and Andrew that in order to drive himself to be the best at things he convinces himself that if he wins what he's doing he'll get to see his dead father again. Josie finds this really sad and leaves the bathroom abruptly to go to the bedroom. John James and Andrew think she's angry and Andrew tells John James he thinks she got angry because John James was too competitive in the beep task. John James goes to apologize to Josie and finds her crying in the bedroom.
