Sara Park Community Consultation

As a result of recession, Birmingham City Council cut over the recent years the budget of park maintenance. It contracted it out to 3 grounds maintenance contractors, one of them being an in house contractor. But some park areas are now left aside, some playgrounds are not safe anymore for children, pathways are not visible anymore and undergrowth clearance is not carried out.
CSV Environment has engaged with local community interested in making a difference to their park. The Friends of Sara Park is a community group made up from local residents and organisations interested in the improvement of their local park, for the benefit of the whole community, working in partnership with Birmingham City Council.
