Videos have been commonly used in language teaching for many years due to their proven advantages such as showing students language-in-use, arising their cross-cultural awareness, giving students the opportunity to create their own videos and motivating them to learn a language (Harmer, 2003). Arthur (1999) claims that videos can also can strenhen audio and/or visual linguistic perceptions simultaneously, can help utilize the latest technology to facilitate language learning and can lower anxiety when practicing the skill of listening. Videos can be divided into three groups: Already-made videos, videos created by the teacher or videos created by students. Relevant research shows that positive learning and affective outcomes are greatly enhanced and extended when the video is effectively integrated into the lesson (Mares, 1996).
