SICS- intraoperative zonular dialysis Dr.NSD Raju,India

During a routine manual small incision cataract sutgery, an inadvertent head movement during nucleus prolapse resulted in a large zonular dialysis. A capsular retractor was used to stabilize the zonular dialysis following anterior vitrectomy. A Capsular Tension Ring was then introduced into the capsular bag to support and satabilize the capsilar bag. Irrigation aspiration of the residual coertex is followed by an in the bag implantation of a rigid PMMA intraoular lens.
