We are aware of living in a society that does mischief, that even causes poverty and death elsewhere to ensure our wealth. We are a part of it, we live in it, we consume and celebrate in it. We have to accept it to live our own life in this society. As long as we are unable to feel the injustice in our own reality, we won't act to change it. But how can one fully understand and be aware of the big world, when we keep our small world so busy?
