Karm yudh is one of those serials being telecast on Doordarshan whose idea is centered on a political family. The acronym for Television is no more TV but TRP. The Serial has gained utmost popularality and hold the audiences in a very short time. Recently, the entire crew celebrated on completion of its 50th Episode on the set. A cake was cut by the star cast. It was an auspicious occasion for the Director Kewal Sethi. The entire crew and the star cast Harsh Chayya, Vaishnavi, Rohini hattangadi, Deepraj Rana, Jitendra, Rwpal, Shriye, Hemant Divicha, Pramod Singh(writer) is like a family and celebrated it cheerily; they applaud loudly ‘Long Live Karm Yudh’ and expressed their contentment. Director, Kewal Sethi has thanked everyone from the lead actor- actress to the Light men for their support and cooperation for making the serial a success one and desired the same teamwork further. The serial is about Deputy Home Minister ‘Yashwant Chauhan’(Harsh Chhaya) and his wife DCP ‘Shivangi Chauhan’ (Vaishnavi) are well known for their honesty, idealistic values and untainted careers .They meet in college, where they share the same values, virtues and a love for idealism where they also fall in love and get married . Till now they have quite nicely balanced their respective responsibilities, yashwant as a husband, father and a politician and Shivangi as a wife, mother and a responsible police officer. Their family consists of three more members, son ‘Rohit’, daughter ‘Pallavi’ and most importantly….Head of the family…..decision maker…..woman of substance…. ‘Maa Saa’ (Rohini Hattangadi). The serial’s success and its TRP break the set mindset that ‘we show what people want to see’. People want to see good stories with good issues, be it political or social. Today, after the completion of its 50th episodes, we can only say that if the story has a pace and if you have something worthwhile to say, then you will surely have viewers.
