Hans-Georg Schütz (1912-78) was a pianist, accordeon player and composer who became a professional musician in the late 1930s. He formed his own band and recorded for Deutsche Grammophon from 1940 until 1943. After the war he continued his career and headed his own band until the 1960s. He also composed the music for several motion pictures such as the 1941 "Männerwirtschaft".
