Grande Ouverture by Mauro Giuliani (1994 played by F.H.)

Mauro Giuliani was an italian composer, one of the most important for the guitar in the classical period of Western art music.
Many of Giuliani's compositions for the guitar have an obvious "orchestral character". So, if you listen carefully, you will be reminded of flutes, strings, violoncellos and doublebasses.

personal note :
Sitting on my balcony with wine and candlelight, remembering those old days of travelling around with my guitar from one stage and festival to another... always in move and having a great time... I recalled this piece of music, which seldom had been part of my concert programs. For reasons I can't remember. So I'm glad to have at least one single live recording from a concert in a small german chapel, of which I hopefully think, that it's good enough to present it again in the www.

Well, so much photographs of my own person in this video... that may seem strange or even narcisstic, and, yes indeed, remembering those times, this is it ! ;-)
