Lancs to LA Roughcut 2 of 2
This is part 2 of my roughcut submission for Sheffield doc fest.
As described on part 1 - it is lacking voiceover and overall structure - I know this isn't helpful. But the structure here, like part 1 is chronological up to a 'fake ending' showing the airport, which I then return to tell the story of Union Station - JP's final great creation, built after his death.
The final cut (2nd half) will most probably tell the story of the Braly and Alexandria, followed by a round up of downtown 1910-1920, THEN introduce the whole story of my tracking down relatives THEN usc coliseum, THEN pick up the relatives story by visiting the residences and Woodacres (JP's Residences) allowing the visit to his grave to follow on (as it did on my trip) followed by fake ending and a return to LA to round up Art Deco, City Hall, Union Station, but with the main focus on Bullock's Wilshire.
This revision will put more emphasis on the tracking down of the out-of-downtown residences and Bullock's, allowing these sequences more room to breathe (and a delay to the pay off of my meeting Dru at woodacres, and later Bullock's).
