The Vampires are tested with a lie detector machine to see how far they are in the experiment. Karl and Drew fail the test, and the fact that Marty passes the test enrages Drew. He decides he can test himself to see how far he is in humanizing especially in the urge to feed, he wants to desperately be with Sherry without the fear that he is going to attack and feed off her. He goes on a hunger strike, but does this really prove that he can control himself.?
