Love-split Gavin Henson hits red carpet

Gavin Henson made his first public appearance less than three weeks since announcing his split from fiancée Charlotte Church.

While pictures earlier this week appeared to show the strain of the split was taking it's toll on Charlotte, Gavin was over a hundred miles away in London at a pre-Wimbledon party.

The Welsh rugby star looked happy and healthy at the event at the Kensington Roof Gardens on Thursday night.

In a shiny purple shirt, a blue jacket and and jeans the 28-year-old was happy to pose for photographers, but would not talk to waiting film crews.

Tennis stars including Venus and Serena Williams also walked the red carpet for the party ahead of the tournament which starts on Monday.
