UN chief urges greater support for war crimes prosecution

UN chief Ban Ki-moon on Monday called for greater global support for war crimes prosecutions at the start of a conference aimed at bolstering the International Criminal Court (ICC). 'The old era of impunity is over' Ban said, 'slowly but surely, we are witnessing the birth of a new age of accountability.' With investigations under way in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, the Central African Republic, Uganda and Kenya, 13 arrest warrrants have been issued but only four are in ICC custody.Duration: 01:02
