While sleeping soundly in her bed, Aiyana was MURDERED by Detroit police officers who threw a grenade onto her bed from a window, burning her body, then shot one single bullet through her wall, and through her neck, fatally wounding the 7 year old.
In the aftermath of the murder, Detroit police tried to cover their tactical violence, by lying on Aiyana's grandmother, saying that she bumped into one of the cops, causing his gun to go off. However, due to a live video recording, courtesy of First 48 Hours (a cop show), there is indisputable proof that the shot was fired from outside the home. Not only did cops try to pin the grief of Aiyana's death on her poor grandmother, who watched her die senselessly, but they proceeded to force her "downtown" to be questioned for 12 hours immediately after the brutal death of her grandchild.
Aiyana's dad, was forced to lie in her blood, face down, with handcuffs on.
After all of this, Detroit Police had the WRONG RESIDENCE!
