Prefold diapers come in various fabrics and weaves and the most common is the 100% woven cotton. But lesser quality cottons may have polyester or rayon center inserts which have the tendency to break easily. As much as possible, avoid diapers which are not really 100% cotton since rayon and polyester inserts do not add anything to the diaper’s absorbency and will only be a waste of money.
