Hello and welcome to our Buyers Guide Video on standard envelopes. This video will take you through the different features of standard envelopes to find the right one for you...You might be surprised to find there are loads of different standard envelopes to choose from when you start browsing. But just like walking into a coffee shop and ordering a grande double skinny mochaccino, you'll soon know you want that C4 Pocket 90gsm white envelope. You don't just want a coffee – and you don't just want an envelope. So where to start...?Well what do you want to send? For example, a C5 envelope can take an A4 sheet folded once or an A5 sheet unfolded. A DL envelope will take an A4 document folded twice and is widely used to send invoices and letters. If you have a bulk of letters to send out, envelopes with a window are your best option to speed up the process. For example, a DL envelope with a window means all you have to do is fold an A4 sheet twice and the address at the top left corner of the page can be read through the window. Then you need to choose what style and seal would suit you. Peel and seal envelopes are popular because they instantly form a strong bond when the two adhesive flaps are pressed together.High up on your priority list will also be paper weight. This gives you an idea of its quality and therefore the protection it gives to your contents. At the lowest end of the scale is 80gsm – this is perfectly fine for general mailings. But as you go up the scale you'll find the right envelope if you want to send heavier and bulky documents or contents. These are the most important things to consider, but if you have any more questions, take a look at our written Buyers Guide for more detail. And remember... We Love Office Stuff.
