Mexican striker Javier Hernandez has said that he will stop thinking about his new club Manchester United, to concentrate on gaining a place on the final squad going to the World Cup in South Africa.

At the beginning of April, Man Utd agreed to sign Hernandez from Guadalajara for an undisclosed fee, believed to be £10 million.

The 21-year-old will join United on July 1.

"Personally, I'm going to worry about playing, there are things, there are people who could pay a lot of money to be on a team like this." he said.

"These are opportunities where money does not matter. I play for love of my country, that's what I've been brought up to believe, for the love of soccer, to become someone".

Mexico will open the World Cup on June 11 with an inaugural match against host South Africa in Group A, which also includes Uruguay and France.
