Two grenades exploded in front of a Bangkok Bank branch on Silom road in Thailand's capital of Bangkok on Saturday.
While no casualties were reported, they caused light damage and congestion in the city's central business district.
Unidentified attackers threw four grenades but two failed to detonate.
This attack comes a day after a court seized 1.4 billion dollars from former premier Thaksin Shinawatra.
He was forced into exile after a military coup in 2006, which accused him of stealing state money.
A forensics team scoured the scene for clues to discover the culprit but police suspect the attack was politically motivated.
Thaksin's red-shirted supporters have accused the bank of supporting the coup.
But police say it is too early to blame any group.
Thaksin's supporters vowed to press ahead with a mass street rally on March 14th demanding fresh elections.
